The Society for Longitudinal and Lifecourse Studies (SLLS) convenes conferences and events with the purpose of promoting professional development, and scholarly and educational exchange of ideas in the spirit of free inquiry and free expression.

SLLS is committed to providing a SAFE, RESPECTFUL and WELCOMING conference environment for all participants, free from harassment based on age, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, language, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, disability, health conditions, socioeconomic status, marital or domestic status, political affiliation, or parental status.

Harassment consists of a single intense and severe act or of multiple persistent or pervasive acts which are (or perceived to be) demeaning, abusive, offensive towards an individual person or create an intimidating, hostile or degrading environment.

All participants at SLLS events are expected to abide by this Anti-Harassment Policy in all meeting venues as well as official and unofficial social gatherings. Hence participation in any SLLS event constitutes acknowledgement of, and agreement to abide by this policy.

If you witness potential harm to a conference participant, we encourage you to be proactive in helping to mitigate or avoid that harm. Alert security personnel or law enforcement if you see a situation in which someone might be in imminent physical danger.

Please note: SLLS Conference 2025 - A list of resources, along with information on how to report violations will be available to delegates at the meeting registration desk.
