Members of the Society for Longitudinal and Lifecourse Studies (SLLS) are invited to take part in elections for two positions on the SLLS Executive Committee.

We are seeking nominations for:

  • Executive Committee members are elected for three years (with the exception of the President Elect and the Treasurer who serve for four years).
  • Role descriptions can be found towards the bottom of this page.
  • Current Ordinary Members at the end of their three-year term are eligible to stand for re-election.
  • All committee members are expected to be present (either in person or online) at Executive Committee meetings which are held during the annual conference and one or two additional times per year.
  • Committee members may be from any country. However, the Treasurer must be UK based due to the Society being a UK based charity with UK bank accounts.
  • Terms in office will begin after the Society’s annual conference and Annual General Meeting (July 2026).
  • Roles are undertaken on a voluntary basis.
  • Nominations must be from, and of, registered members of the Society and require at least one proposer and seconder. Self-nominations are encouraged. Nominations can be submitted by clicking the links above.

Closing date for nominations: Friday 22nd May 2026. 

Voting will then take place on-line soon after, with a closing date of Friday 19th June 2026. Elected members will be formally announced at the SLLS Annual General Meeting taking place during the Society’s conference (Brussels, 29 June - 1 July).
