Conference Venue

The Stirling Court Hotel will be the venue for the conference this year in Stirling. The hotel is located within the grounds of the University of Stirling campus, between Stirling and Bridge of Allan, just 10 minutes from the Junction 11 of the M9 motorway / A9 road and a 10-15 bus journey from Stirling or Bridge of Allan train stations. Please see the ‘Travel to Stirling’ page for more details how to reach Stirling.

The hotel is located on the south area of the campus (number 11 on the campus map).

Those driving or arriving on foot/bike you will enter the main campus through the main entrance. Follow the main road. Approximately 50 yards after the sports centre and swimming pool (numbers 12 and 15 on the campus map) go straight at the mini roundabout. The Stirling Court Hotel car park is straight ahead, with entry via the traffic barrier system.

For those arriving by bus you can alight at the main entrance and follow the instructions above or alight from the bus at Queens’s Court (number 1 on the campus map) which is the central point of the campus. From here walk back towards to the sports centre/main road in to campus and turn left after you have passed the main entrance to the Cottrell Building (number 19 on the campus map). The Stirling Court Hotel is at the end of this road.

Car parking

During academic semesters demand for car parking can be high. During this time, pay and display machines are in operation on weekdays from 9am to 5pm, however Blue Badge holders have designated spaces and do not need to display a parking ticket. Parking is also free for motorbikes, unless taking up a full parking space. Please visit the University of Stirling website to check car parking prices and instructions. All parking machine accept change as well as credit and debit card payment facilities. Stirling Venues guests staying at the Stirling Court Hotel can enjoy free parking at the hotel's designated car park, subject to availability. Please note that car park spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed as part of your event, conference or accommodation booking.

There are 2 electric vehicle charging stations located within the Main Car Park on campus and at the rear of the Pathfoot Building. These chargers are available for all electric vehicle owners. The 4 designated spaces allowing up to 4 cars to recharge simultaneously are reserved for electric vehicles only.

Electricity is provided free-of-charge. However, users are still required to display a valid parking permit or Pay & Display ticket. A maximum charging time of 4 hours applies following which time users are requested to move their vehicles to an alternative designated parking space.
