The Maternal and Child Health Life Course Research Network (LCRN) is a virtual collaborative network of researchers, service providers and thought leaders committed to improving health and reducing disease by advancing life course health development research and informing meaningful and evidence-based changes in practice, systems and policies affecting children and families. Recently, LCRN launched its new webinar series on Using Existing Data to Examine Life Course Health Development with a presentation by SLLS president Elizabeth Cooksey on U.S. National Longitudinal Surveys of Youth (NLSY).

Future LCRN webinars will feature additional leading experts presenting on various public use datasets from the U.S. and other nations, as well as specific topics in life course health development research including diabetes and prematurity.

Previous webinars have included presentations on the life course origins and implications of a wide range of health conditions including obesity, hearing loss, oral health problems, and chronic renal disease, as well as thought-provoking presentations by luminaries such as the late Clyde Hertzman and the late David Barker.
